I'm also looking fro a +1 for my crew. Just hoping the wind cooperates and the fishing is good. Fishing has been a challenge the last month or so out of NP. Thinking of heading straight out to 200+ FOW and dropping lines

Wave report looks pretty poor for tomorrow. Wonder if the tourney will be cancelled? I think my crew is out for this weekend.

Tournament would only be cancelled if a small craft is in affect for the hours of the tournament and if that is the case, then it will be held on Sunday.

Well , if it is 2 to 4 ft. then my pontoon will not make it . 1 to 3 is my max. Already spent the money for slip fee and motel room , entry fee . Keep looking at wave reports and they keep changing them , It has gone from 1 ft or less to 3 to 6 then 2 to 4 then maybe 1 to 3 . Now it is { depending on which noaa site } 1 to 3 or 3 to 5 .

We are up at the harbor . Yea my plan is the same . We do at best 5 knots on a good day , so hope the early start will help . Wish they would let us go at 5 am . Out as far as possible time wise and zig zag troll in .

The tournament was cancelled, which was a good thing because a small craft advisory went into effect anyway. We all live to fish another day!

Hi Paul. The tournament would have been held tomorrow if the forecast wasn't what it was. Unfortunately the tournament is in the books now as cancelled due to safety concerns. Everbody's money will be refunded by mail if it hasn't been already.

I hope everyone will save that money for next year's SU Open, and hopefully plan on fishing the Pass the Passion next year as well! If you want to get your feet wet there is still one more club tourney next weekend as well. You could be rookie boat of the year!! :winker
